Baseball U will be holding two free workouts in November for players with graduation years of 2011-14. These players will be evaluated for the 2010 travel season.

Baseball U players have earned just over 5 million dollars in scholarship money in just four years. This number is based on a player staying in school for four years and is a total package of baseball money as well as academic packages.

In the team’s first 3 MLB drafts 16 players have been selected in the draft.

The team’s format is changing in 2010. Its focus will be two weekly workouts allowing players to participate in legion or other high school league games and will focus on select showcase tournaments as well as showcases.
The summer coaching staff is composed of current college coaches as well as former professional players.

The team had its three age groups ranked in the top 62 by Perfect Game in 2009.

The team attended Perfect Game, Blue Chip Prospects, USA Baseball as well as individual college invitational events such as UVA and ECU tournaments in 2009.

Most recently the team finished tied for 9th place while participating in the WWBA Underclass World Championships. The event had 100 of the top teams from around the country.

The team will be competing as Mid-Atlantic Orange this upcoming week in the 80 team field in the 2009 WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, Florida. Players from 9 states will be participating for Baseball U.

While winning is part of the program the focus remains turning high school players in to college athletes. The organization has outstanding relationships with the college coaching base and the teams truthful evaluations are respected by the college community.

Players that reside in the New England region can participate with Baseball U New England based out of Fairfield, Connecticut.

A tournament only team also exists and allows players from various states to participate in the high profile events.

Interested players should visit www.BaseballU.net and fill out a prospective player form at the website.
Information is also available on the Winter Training program entering its 5th year. These workouts bring in top schools to work with the player’s and allows the coaches a hands on experience with some of the top players in the northeast.
